The Lady Eagles played against the Liberal Lady Bulldogs and earned their first SRVC conference win of the season. The girls had a slow start to the game, tallying up only 12 points while their opponents scored 8 within the first quarter. However, during the second quarter the Lady Eagles had found a way to ignite their game. They created a sizable lead for themselves by halftime, leading the Lady Bulldogs 33-15. At the final buzzer, the Girls Basketball Team had racked up 62 points and had held Liberal to 41 points. Kendyl Hayward led the way for the Lady Eagles with her career high 20 points. Libbey Strickler and Christine Stellwagen backed her up with 14 and 12 points of their own.
The PC Pride was apparent throughout the night as numerous fans supported the Eagles and the Lady Eagles to their wins. Thank you for the support and we hope to see at the girl’s next home game against another SRVC opponent, College Heights, on January 9.
