Pierce City went to Seneca to face the Indians on Thursday night. The Eagles battled with Seneca very closely the whole game. With just a minute left the Eagles found themselves up by two, until the Indians were able to hit a 3 pointer with 43 seconds left. On the next possession, Pierce City senior, Mason Moreland hit a 3 pointer of his own, with 5 seconds left. That shot was able to secure the win for the Eagles and put them at 13-5 on the year. Moreland finished the game with 11 points.
The Eagles were led in scoring by Hunter Hatfield with 15 points. After the game Hunter said, “We were pretty sluggish the whole night. We didn’t have high enough energy most of the game, but we found a way to get the job done, late in the game. We are going to have to play much better, with the tough stretch of games we have coming up. With all that being said, we are happy to get the win.”
