The Pierce City Lady Eagles played the Lockwood Lady Tigers on February 2. The Pierce City girls came out from the get-go with great focus. In the first half, they scored 32 points and held Lockwood to a low 12. The girls kept the momentum and ran with it the whole night. Coach Rob Guerin commented, “We came out focused and didn’t look back. Our defensive intensity was definitely present in the first half!” The Lady Eagles ended up finishing the game with 53 points and limited the Tigers’ offense to only 34 points.
The top scorers for the night were Belle Golubski with 16, Ragan Blinzler with 11, and Kayla Portillo with 10.
